Badaami (Almond) Chicken
Ingredients:
Red chili powder 1 tsp.
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp.
Salt 2 tsp.
Onions (chopped) 6
Oil 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tsp.
Almonds 15-20
Cashew nuts 10
Green chillies 6
Ginger 1/2 inch piece
Garlic 10 cloves
Black cardamom 2
Cloves 6
Cinnamon 1/2 inch piece
Milk 1 cup
Coconut milk 1 cup
Yogurt 1 cup
Method:
Blend cumin seeds, almonds, cashew nuts, cloves, black cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and garlic into a fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add onions and fry till brown.
Add grinded masala paste with 3-4 tbsp. of water.
Fry for 3-4 minutes.
Add chicken with red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Fry for 2 minutes.
Add yogurt and milk.
Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
Then add coconut milk.
Cook for another 10 minutes.
Take out in a dish and serve with bread.
