Red Kidney Beans
Ingredient
Oil1 medium onion - diced
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
1 sprig Curry leaves or curry patta
1 tsp Salt OR to Taste
1 inch ginger diced
2 slit green chili
1 large tomato diced
1 heapful tsp tomato paste
1 tsp Red chili powder or to Taste
1 tsp Paprika powder
Pinch of turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
2-3 cans of Rajma (with can water)
Directions:
Fry onions,cumin seeds, coriander seeds, curry patta,ginger, salt and slit green chili. When golden brown add tomatoes, tomato paste and all the masala's let bhoonify...5 to 8 minsthen add Rajma with the canned water..and add more regular water..
now cook till Rajma is tender...keep adding water...if required.
Now when rajma is tender ...u need to do tardka...
1 small onion ..finely sliced
1 sprig curry patta.
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp coriander seeds
Fry in a bit of oil..and pour over rajma...
then add lots of fresh coriander leaves...for garnishing serve with nice hot plain buttery white rice.
